主讲人简介： Seth Jon Davis, 约克大学生物系教授，系主任。Davis教授团队主要利用植物和藻类的分子遗传学来阐明藻类在生理学、新陈代谢和发育的机制。目前，他带领的团队主要关注两个方面的内容：被子植物生物钟功能及极端微藻的环境反应。Davis教授是Critical Insights in Plant Science创始主编，现担任Journal of Circadian Rhythms主编，Plant Cell, and the Environment，Plant Signaling and Behavior，Frontiers in Circadian Biology副主编，Plant Cell Physiology顾问编辑，Chronobiology International编辑。曾以一作身份在Nature（Bhoo & Davis, 2001; Doyle & Davis, 2002）及Science（Davis et al., 1999）期刊发表过论文。迄今，其在SCI期刊发表学术论文130余篇，其 H-index ≥ 56，i10 index ≥ 94，Citations ≥ 10,537。Davis教授出席过200多场世界各地的研讨会和学术讲座。此次其主讲内容将以极端环境红藻为研究对象，从分子层面探索其基因组对稀土元素（REE）的响应。
